Metal Railings & Ironwork — Halandri

The Condition Before the Work

The metal railings and ironwork of the residence in Halandri showed advanced rust, flaking old paint, and signs of corrosion in many places. The condition of the surfaces did not allow for simply applying paint over the top—it required a complete preparation of the metal surface from scratch.

Removal of Old Paint & Preparation

We began by mechanically removing the old paint and rust using an angle grinder and wire brush. This was followed by cleaning with a solvent to remove grease and dust. Proper surface preparation is the most critical step in painting metal—without it, no paint will stand the test of time.

Rust Protection & Painting

A specialized two-component anti-corrosion primer was applied, creating a protective barrier against moisture and corrosion. After it was completely dry, two coats of high-strength alkyd enamel paint were applied—in the selected graphite shade, which gives a modern, clean look.

Result

The railings and ironwork were given a new lease on life—a uniform, glossy finish in deep graphite, with guaranteed rust protection for years to come. The combination of proper preparation and high-quality materials ensures a finish that won’t peel, yellow, or rust easily.
